Because I like every variation of poker I am also interested in PLO8. I haven´t played it a lot but I need to improve myself because you need the skills in mixed game formats. And I can not say that PLO8 is harder or not than Holdem because every variant is hard in its own way. It´s different but fun.

Honestly? I don't like Omaha very much!
Imagine the 8-card one. I definitely don't like it.

I like playing plo8 and it's a long tournament since most of the hands shared the pot but it's fun to play

Omaha is considered to be a harder game to master than Texas Hold'em, mainly because of the two extra hole cards everyone gets. Then PLO8 (Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo) takes that premise and offers a possibility of splitting a pot with an opponent. Do you think PLO8 is more skill-based than regular Omaha? Is it a game you play? One you are interested in learning? Why or why not? Is it a harder game to master?
It is my favorite poker game and I play it most of the time! It challenges my brain and its fun. I also love RAZZ, another interesting game but hard to find. H.O R.S.E is also fun! Potlimit omaha 08 vs limit omaha08, I prefer limit but hard to find so I play Pot limit mostly. There is also 5 card pl omaha 08. I think it is harder then the 4 card but that is just me.

In my opinion, Omaha Hi-Lo is much better to play than standard Omaha, even though it’s more difficult. However, I think the fact that there are almost always two pots allows you to be more aggressive. I wish there were more tournaments in this format.

Hello , yes plo8 is more brain power to play because it's not just the Hi hand that wins and the fact that you have 4 hold cards it's more combinations of hands so more draws . This is my favorite game . The reason is that I never stop thinking and I love that it takes your full attention when you play.

It's a great game and wildly under studied.
Weaker players love it as they get 4 cards to fish with in two directions, giving them the illusion they have more chance to win:love:

I really like PLO8 because it's a game that requires a lot of strategy and patience. The fact of competing for both high and low makes each decision more interesting and makes the study carry enormous weight. It's a format in which small errors can be costly, so those who are dedicated to understanding the game well tend to have an advantage. For me, it's one of the most challenging and fun poker games.

I enjoy playing plo and plo8.

No limit omaha seems like it is better suited for cash games.

plo8 is one of the toughest poker games invented . that said , disciplined positional decision making is strongly rewarded in the long run because many players still think high only cards are valuable and thus make horrible mathematical decisions . it seems like a wild gambling game but it actually isn't.

It's a good game. You just need to get into the right mindset and understand how to play your hole cards correctly on all streets.

Plo-8 is a game of patience and discipline. It can be very profitable if you're disciplined, and you can also lose a lot if you play two weak cards. That's what I understood from reading the rules of the game; I personally don't play it and haven't delved deeply into understanding it.

I find this game very interesting to play just the math you have to use with the 4 hole cards and the the 5 cards on the board the chances of just about anything could happen and usually dose :giggle:. Now i'm not too bad at math so i'm just going to say i'll have a 50/50 chance to win something with a hi or a low hand most of the time :sneaky: good luck with that math :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:.

Yes, I think PLO8 is even more skill-based than regular Omaha because players must evaluate both high and low hands, making decisions more complex.

PLO8 is just too much for me to handle. There's so much going on with playing for both the high and the low that my brain starts to hurt. I'll stick with Hold'em where I feel a lot more confident. Maybe I'll give PLO8 another shot someday, but for now it's not my game.

I don't play PLO8 very often...always freerolls...not enough experience to actually know what I'm doing, but I have found that in PLO, there are so many more hands that can be made, which renders bluffing almost impossible. PLO8 is even harder to win a pot by yourself because of the low hand possibility...couldn't play either game for money...it would just be lighting a flame to my money.

By PLO8, you mean Pot Limit Omaha H/L. I rarely can find a Pot Limit game. So I always play the No Limit game on a daily basis.
I find it the more difficult of games.
As an Example: Yesterday as I was playing. I had a big stack. And folded a Pair of Aces on a big pot. It turns out that the raiser had the Low and the other guy won the Hight with a pair of deuces. But you can never know what's going to happen.

If you play on PokerStars they have both SnG and Cash PLO8 (PLO hi/lo) games

I have mixed feelings about this game. I will probably never be able to understand how to react correctly to the actions of my opponents.
For some reason, I prefer 5-card Omaha KO at the moment, but this is PLO6, when there are fewer players, in my opinion it makes the game easier. Well, let's talk about Omaha 6 and 7 cards, it'll break the hell out of them, it's very hard to give up what you're seeing. These are very unique games, but I only play freerolls:) (y)
Good luck to everyone at the tables))) (y) (y)(y)
