Terrific performance from the Netherlands, Sweden were good attacking too, overall an excellent game. I hope both make it through.

Probably. Also i find it kinda interesting that (so far) in this world cup several teams who won first match were "smart" to bring their GD to zero after second game. Korea, Ivory Coast, Scotland, Sweden, Australia all did exactly that with the latter 3 even losing with the exact same score they had won with in first match :unsure:

Therefore it would be hilarious if several of remaing teams yet to play second match who either won or lost first match are now productive enough to upgrade or downgrade their GD to zero aswell ...

Probably would have to keep this in mind for upcoming matches in that correct score prediction though ..
And yes i finally have 1 correct score there.

It's interesting that it's a hard job to defeat african teams. Yesterday even Germany could score the winner goal in the 94th minute. It's hard to crack their defense, they are strong and fast.

Yes the ENERGY all around us was incredible. And I was just outside at the mall where the screen was.

In the second half, Yamal and Oyarzabal were no longer needed.
They were sent to rest. Then they will be used against the Uruguayans.
Just like the Brazilians, the Spaniards also made the 1st half 3:0.
Uruguay should also show something today.

True but it has medical reasons Yamal can't play 90 min at the moment

What is the most progressive selection in recent long years? I'm going to answer first and I'm going to say that Japan has undoubtedly made a big leap as an Asian country and the results they consistently achieve are surprising. Already ranked in your group. If he comes 2nd he would play in the next round with the United States a good cross for Japan. Although if he comes first in his group he would play against the 2nd in the group from Brazil. It would be Brazil or Morocco as its rival. While you can't speculate, coming 2nd for Japan would be much better.

what a great WC so far... how bout huge underdogs like cape verde and curacao! who doesnt love a good underdog story.
no one, to this point, looks unbeatable, as even the top few teams have looked really good at parts so far, and very beatable and average at others.
looking forward to the rest of the tournament!

Easy game for Argentina it seems. No surprise since their opponent was last time at a world cup decades ago and their national league is also not exactly known for quality football 😅
