Looking forward to the game tonight but knowing us - we will make it as hard as possible for ourselves, expecting Congo to play a similar set up to Ghana, question will be 1. Can we actually make it less painful and unlock the low block defence before 45 mins and 2. Can our shaky back 4 manage yet another team fast on the counter attack.
Congo are no mugs, there is some talent in that team and if we dont turn up, it could be another Iceland type defeat....

What time is it? ITS HAZZA Time!

Dr Kongo vs England right ?
Anticipate the chants 😆
English are bit more creative than "I believe we will win"
More the likes of " yo brother is yo sister, yo sister is your mama ....the Leeds family..." ( Ok probably not that one since its not for the national Team)
" The referee's a ******! The referee's a wankeeeer!"

"Singing do wah diddy, diddy dum, diddy do,
"Running past the Germans scoring number two,
"He looks good, He looks fine, Harry Kane is on my mind and he's England's number nine."

😆

The chances of the English turning the game around against Congo are decreasing.
But even the equalizer is far away. They barely hit the target.
It was as if they had been placed in 3rd place before the start of the World Championships, as the most likely to win the gold medal.

He single defeats Congo, now everyone feels fine.

Well that was a tough watch today.

England looked shocking for 20 mins, no structure, no order, all over the place.

Then we had their keeper playing a blinder.....finally King Kane did the Conga and sent us all away, relatively happy, but exremely worried about Mexico.

Altitude, home advantage, baking hot, not conceed a goal yet at the WC, and apparently they have only lost twice in 85 ish games at The Azteca!!!

So of course nothing short of total domination and a 3-0 will appease us!!:rolleyes:

Omg - being at the England game was incredible!

And then a great game for the US - it has been a good day!

That was painful....
but...as i said, it was HAZZA time!

England are going to have to pull off some performance versus Mexico to have any chance, that altitude is a killer and anyone who has ever been 7200 feet above sea level will know that its not fun walking up a hill let alone running for 95 minutes.
If we play like we did versus Congo for first 45 mins, we wont be 0-1 it will be worse, of that i am sure.

Im moving Rice to right back and bringing Rogers in alongside Bellingham in Midfield because we look a mess at the back.

A poor performance from England, even if it probably made a good game for the neutral. Yes, their keeper made some good saves, but they also had a tap in to go 2-0 that even I could have scored. We've been consistently poor in defence, and we're not very creative enough going forward (crosses are usually good, but with little alternative).

We have a mountain to climb to beat Mexico.

Congrats to the US - again putting in a shift to get through to a last 16 tie versus Belgium and i tell you what, Belgium have been poor this World Cup so far and wont relish playing a home nation who despite the loss of Balogun, have the bit between their teeth - anything is possible in that game but it would be awesome to see the US progress to last 8 where I am sure all of the big guns will be waiting...
Right now, i would rather be in the US camp playing Belgium than travelling to the Azteca and playing Mexico (England).

The odds for France's eventual victory dropped to around 3.
Isn't that a bit too optimistic?
:unsure:They will meet Germany's winner Paraguay in the round of 16.
Then there's Morocco or Canada in the quarterfinals.

I think Ronaldo and Messi will only meet in the final.
The Spanish-Portuguese round of 16 match is still possible. The Spaniards are dominating the field completely against the Austrians.
Do you still remember the 3:3 draw between Spain and Portugal in the 2018 World Cup group stage?

I truly believe that a South American team will be in the final of the world cup again. Obviously I want it to be Argentinian, but if not, it's very good that a South American team reaches a new final.

Kind of boring for Spain to face such a weak and scared opponent as Austria. Also for the spectators...going to play this in the background and only watch when something interesting is happening 🥱

I think this World Cup is very evenly matched; all the teams are demonstrating a high level of play in every match, but the favorites to win the tournament are France, Argentina, and Spain.

It was a little painful for Austria to say goodbye to the World Cup without even creating any problems for Spain. I expected more from Austria in this World Cup. Just one win against one of the worst teams in the tournament, like Jordan.

I believe Spain has yet to concede a single goal aswell so technically it would be kinda hilarious if they finally do that this is also the exact reason why their tournament comes to an end

E: Looked world cup bracket so based on that ^ cant wait to see Spain's 0:1 defeat to France (if they both get that far)
