FAQs

Can the dealer choose whether they split a pair of 10-value cards?

In this blackjack variation, the dealer must split their hand. Unlike players, the dealer cannot choose when they make this move in this blackjack game.

Should I play Run ‘Em Twice Blackjack?

Run ‘Em Twice only offers 1:1 payouts and you have to beat both the dealer’s hands to make a profit. While Run ‘Em Twice is fun, if you want to walk away from the blackjack table with a profit, we recommend you stick with regular blackjack.

How does Run ‘Em Twice Blackjack work?

In this blackjack game, the dealer must split their hand if they receive a pair or a 10-value card, and play out both hands. The players must beat both of the dealer’s hands to earn a 1:1 payout.

Why do blackjacks pay out in Run ‘Em Twice when the dealer pushes on 22, but not in other blackjack variations?

Unlike other blackjack games where the dealer pushes on 22 (i.e., Blackjack Switch), the action in Run ‘Em Twice Blackjack occurs during the dealer’s turn. That means the dealer has already paid out the winnings for blackjack before it’s time for their turn.

Where can I play Run ‘Em Twice Blackjack?

Run ‘Em Twice is not widely offered in brick-and-mortar casinos or online casinos. Game company SG Gaming offers a video blackjack version of the game, which you may find at the biggest online casinos.

Is there a limit on the number of times the dealer can split their hand?

The dealer follows the blackjack table rules for splitting in Run ‘Em Twice Blackjack. Many casinos limit splitting to four hands (or three splits), but you can ask the dealer for clarification when you join the game.

Do other casino games offer the Run ‘Em Twice format?

In poker, there is a move that has a similar name. If a player is all-in and the river has been dealt, the remaining players can agree to ‘run it twice’. This means the remaining board is dealt twice, with the player that wins the first board getting half the pot and the other half going to the winner of the second board.
