On April 11 I posted the following:
Dear 888 support team,

I have just altered my email address for 888 messages to my aol account because someone has been trying to open my bt email account (which was my 888 email).

Now my account has been suspended because my email address is now the same as an account that has been closed.

I suspect that this refers to my 888.es account, which I opened when we owned property in Tenerife and could play only on 888.es. We sold that property several years ago and now reside solely in the UK.

I can't find the "Help Centre" on the 888 app, referred to under the "Contacting Us" area in 888's "How Can We Help?" page. If it's a mobile app referred to I'm in trouble because I have never played on my phone - I always use a PC. Can you help, please?

888 rep kindly sent this to support/management on April 15. But I have heard nothing. In fact I have managed to ascertain that my BT email had been hacked, but it is now in operation again. The gist is that I have only ever had 1 UK 888 account, but for a time I had a Spanish 888 account, as we were living, at times, in our Spanish proprty, in Tenerife, and this might have had my aol email as my contact point. Can I apply, please, to have the suspension on my account lifted? Either email address will suffice as I check both regularly.

The 888poker Global League is a global poker competition where players compete individually to earn points, climb their country rankings, and qualify to represent their country in a final tournament.

The core idea is simple:

Players compete as individuals first, but the end goal is to make their country’s “final 11” and represent their country in the Global League Final Tournament.



Campaign Concept

The campaign is built around national pride, competition, qualification, and representation.

Key campaign language:

Play. Qualify. Represent your country.
Make the final 11.
Earn your place in your country’s squad.
Compete in the final tournament to determine the winning country.
Please avoid direct references to football. The intended tone is “global competition / national representation” rather than a direct sports reference.



How It Works

The promotion has three tournament stages:

1. Qualifier freerolls

Each week, players can enter Global League Qualifier Freerolls.

These freerolls award seats into that week’s Global League Main Tournament.

Freeroll passwords are shared via 888poker social channels:

Instagram
Facebook / X, where applicable
Discord


2. Main Tournaments

The Main Tournaments are where players earn Global League points.

Players can enter either by:

qualifying through the freerolls, or
registering directly via buy-in
Points are awarded based on tournament performance. The better the finishing position, the more points the player earns.

These points are used to rank players within their country.



3. Final Tournament

At the end of the qualification stage, the top 11 eligible players from each participating country qualify for the Global League Final Tournament.

The final tournament determines the winning countries.

I wanted to give a quick comment about the caino freeroll that takes place every Saturday and that im playing very frequently. This tournament was changed 2 years+ ago from normal structure to a hyper turbo structure.

However, despite the change to hyper, the time people can take during a hand between decisions and the extra timebank stayed the same while blinds now go up every 2 minutes instead of 10 minutes. Now the problem is that players abuse that and stall (=letting run down their time and extra timebank) all the time, especially near the money and prizejumps. This creates a very weird dynamic since blinds go up super quick and because people abuse that so much, that tournament plays super short very quick and everyone is on like 1 big blind or less. Chipleader has like 1.5 bb with 50 people left and basically everyone stalling. People are allin blind left and right. Its really not how it should be, imagine if pure casino players want to try out a bit poker and the experience is that everyone takes full time on every decision.

To fix this i heavily recommend to:

- cut down time in half people got to act during decisions
- cut down extra timebank from 30 seconds to 10 seconds

So this tournament plays like a normal hyper turbo and not like a hyper with time to act+ extra timebank from a standard structure tournament with 10 minutes blinds.
