I was very disappointed with the French game. I didn't think they would lose so easily to the Spanish.

What a poor semifinal Spain and France played—a stifled, dull match. That’s Spain for you: they bog down the game and don't let their opponents play. They have a great chance of becoming champions, but their football is painful to watch.

France's strongest opponent until today was Norway, and that was early in the tourney too. Don't wanna sound like a broken record, but... France was horrendous in the Paraguay game, I'm suprised people look past this so easily. Paraguay played defensive strategy with zero offense. Spain has great defense and serious offensive srength, why is anyone surprised? Judging by the betting odds, the majority somehow favored France. I expected one French goal as possible simply because their strikers are world class, but Spain was a favorite.

There is no doubt Spain was the best team on the pitch in today´s match but France was a complete let down.Maybe that early penalty affected them.

I have honestly never seen the French chasing the ball so desperately. Spanish player did whatever they wanted with them. And yes, it seems Olise goes missing against really top tier opponents, it was like deja vu from the semi final against Paris. Spains midfield runs like clockwork, Rabiot and Tchouameni arent on that level, so even the best attackers in the world wont help you. Spains pressing was phenomenal.

After making it 1-0, England just stopped doing anything and sat back. Naturally, Argentina gratefully accepted the invitation.
Tuchel is going to have to answer for this to the press and die hard fans. The last 20 minutes were an absolute fiasco. Did the English learn nothing from the Egyptians about not sitting deep against a team like that? Still, it was a crazy match, suspense right down to the very last second.
