Tuchel was there 12th man for them.

Go defensive so early was a big mistake and soon ad Argentina got momentum we was cooked.

France was my favorite. They had a strong squad and were playing really well right up until yesterday's match. Yesterday was a huge disappointment; I couldn't even figure out what kind of game they were playing. Now Argentina, led by Messi, is the favorite; you can see a strong team spirit and high morale there.

Argentina deserved their victory as England deserved their defeat.

It was a decent and even match for the first hour with both teams up for the fight, but it changed in an instant after the England goal. Sadly we've not learned from previous experiences of handing over possession and sitting back after going ahead, and I think the result against Mexico may have made them overestimate their ability to play without the ball and absorb sustained pressure. What was lamentable was not even providing an attacking outlet , because it just meant we had to face attack after attack, and you can't expect that to hold out for half an hour. Then the manager doubled down and brought on an extra center back far too early, which was a clear mistake.

Still, as disappointing as last night was, it shouldn't overshadow a decent campaign with some good performances against Croatia and Mexico in particular. That may be Kane's last race, but we have the makings of a good group here.
